Tower Bridge and Tower of London

    There is actually a nice walk east along the north bank of the Thames. It isn't obvious and it isn't half as good as some european city river walks, but its not bad. The problem with the Thames is that for a long time it stank, so it was designed to be easily ignorable, rather than a tourist feature.

    And don't do on one of the river boats. Apparently, it is totally legal to drink and drive boats, hence tragedies (marchioness(?))  They also don't have proper rescue boats etc. Correct me if I'm wrong - I heard it on telly.
